Meet Virtual Assistant Larissa Parks – Visionary, Dreamer, Leader
On a day not unlike any other, the sound of the alarm clock blaring in her ear, telling her she had to get up and face another commute to another 8 hour day spent sitting on her bum, behind the same ugly old desk was almost too much.
That was the day Mrs. Larissa Parks decided she’d had it.
15 years of her life had been spent behind a desk, not always the same desk, not always the same office, but always the same sense that she was seen by everyone else in the office as a subordinate. She was doing work she enjoyed, but the office politics and lack of appreciation for the work she was doing were wearing on her.
Holding down the fort as an administrator for Fortune 500 companies, government agencies and for-profit and non-profit organizations was something Larissa was very good at, but she wanted freedom and flexibility. The 9-5 thing was basically getting old.
Larissa had a different lifestyle in mind for herself and her family. And she knew, as most entrepreneurs do, that she would never have the lifestyle she craved and deserved by working for someone else.
Let’s be honest. We’re all here to make money and create a better life.
Unlike truckloads of others who claim they decided to become VAs to be home with their families to earn some money on the side, Larissa saw becoming a Virtual Assistant as the perfect opportunity to change her lifestyle – to live her dream.
This intelligent and feisty woman wanted to finally feel valued for the work she did. She wanted to earn the living she deserved, doing work she loved all the while being free to take time off for herself to travel, experience different cultures, or just to get a massage after a leisurely lunch on a Wednesday afternoon.
Larissa did not want to spend the rest of her life answering to a darn alarm clock. She imagined being in charge of her own life while using her well-honed organizational, managerial and administrative skills to help her clients go on to exceed their own business goals and live the lives they themselves had always dreamed of.
Through her VA business, Seven Winds Virtual Assistance LLC, she’s doing just that and Larissa is one calm, cool, happy girl.

While her role in Seven Winds is mostly to strategize, oversee client projects and manage her clients’ businesses, her team of Virtual Assistants is employed regularly to take as much of the administrative load off of Larissa as possible.
